The entrepreneurship training & preparation program prepares eligible students to start their own business or assists in the expansion of an existing business venture. This Entrepreneurial Training, Development and Support Service Program: Start-Up and Business Owner Management in Construction & Skilled Trade Industries provides the foundation for not just the start-up business owner, but also the business owner or manager who wants to gain a further understanding of some of the essential principles associated with owning and operating a start-up or on-going business relating to construction and associated industries. The program includes Business Plan Development, Positioning For and Finding Financing, Legal Issues in Operations, as well as Certification and Corporate Procurement strategies. You will grow in your understanding of financial, accounting and procurement terms, gain confidence and improve your communication skills, as well as explore some of the topics of running a business in accord with legal requirements. This Entrepreneurship certificate program is offered as a resource under the Workforce Investment Act.
