A Social Entrepreneur

W. Lazone Grays is the founder, and first President/CEO of the IBSA, Inc., an international economic and community development organization.

In his executive leadership role, Mr. Grays has been responsible for initiating new economic and business opportunities for Black entrepreneurs while building the agency's organizational and social service structure. By delivering services with value-added benefits to clients, partners and sponsors, he has been able to foster increased effectiveness and efficiency of IBSA.

Prior to becoming President/CEO, Mr. Grays was a professional development coach working with corporate executives and business owners small businesses. In addition to being coach, Mr. Grays is involved with several local community advisory boards. He loves to speak on the subject of tactical leadership having spent many years working in the social service sector and service to the U.S. Air Force.

Lazone is an accomplished business leader with strong Local Government experience, extensive Grassroots experience, a professional background, proven credentials in managing social service programs and a well-cultivated entrepreneur. A native of the South, Mr. Grays has lived in Kansas since 1963. He received his Paralegal degree from Washburn University in 1992 and has received certification from the Kauffman Foundation as a First Step FastTrac Administrator/Facilitator/Business Counselor in 2006. He is former Who's Who of American Business Executives, Community Corrections Advisory Board Member, and Chairman of the Board member for IBSA, Inc. Lazone Grays is a principal and co-founder of Kansas Small Business Promotions, a private company providing business promotions consulting and strategic email / Internet / Street-level marketing packages for small and disadvantaged businesses in Kansas.
